Wow! In the 20s bouquets were serious business! Look at all those ribbons!
It looks like there are lilies of the valley in there ($$$ now!)
but the
greens and other flowers, I'd only be guessing.
Roses for sure... and more with the ribbons!
This bouquet must weigh a

It looks like the woman on the bride's right has
some enormous bouquet too.
Again, I'd only be guessing on these flowers.
The forties was still white white!
But... these mum bouquets are to die
for!!!
They are made in an S curve and held in the middle.
And
that giant satin ribbon....

I *think* they are made of glads... not sure though.
Look how tiny the bouts are on the men. Pretty insignificant.

The maids are wearing flowered muffs.

corsage on the woman on the far left. My kinda corsage!

I'm guessing this isn't a wedding in the US, or possibly
some
very new arrivals from eastern Europe.
Oooh, Hollywood glamour.
This is an early, early 50s wedding.
The women
already had short curled hair, but the gowns
are still very 40s.
The
bride has a sheaf bouquet with a great big solid white bow.
The maids also
have sheaf bouquets with lovely transparent bows.
The flowers look to be
daisies for the maids and
Asian lilies for the bride.
As usual, the men
get insignificant carnations.
I love the idea of baskets for the flower girls!
These are especially pretty
ones.

I must say, I do love a bride who is covered up.
I'm not a
big fan of the naked arms brides.
