800 numbers for flowers may seem convenient, but you are actually adding a layer of cost to your flower order. These are basically just middle men who broker flower deals.
Many of these flower brokers are outside US borders, so you are also siphoning money out of our country.
Everyone takes a cut. Your original budget for flowers gets divided up between the broker, the florist and the delivery. Not very many florists deliver for free, so if your 800 broker assures you there is no delivery fee, you can be sure your bouquet just got smaller by the cost of delivery. Nothing is free! (Except Eden's Bower deliveries!)
You can easily order locally and put more value in your flowers by doing a little leg work online.
